====== Installing an ODROID computer in the Bolidozor network ======

An installation guide for a Bolidozor network station computer.
In case of a [[http://www.ust.cz/shop/product_info.php?products_id=253|purchased station]] you do not need to pay attention to this guide. 

The guide presumes a [[http://wiki.mlab.cz/doku.php?id=en:rmds02#radiova_meteoricka_detekcni_stanice_rmds02d|RMDS02D]] hardware version of the station with an [[http://wiki.mlab.cz/doku.php?id=en:odroid-u3|Odroid-u3]] computer.

Installed operating system is Lubuntu 14.04 LTS.

In order to connect a new station to the network, following adjustments has to be made.

  - Changing the computer’s hostname to a following form: radio-{observatory name}
  - Setting the path for saving recorded data
  - [[en:registration|Register the station]] in Bolidozor network
  - Check if the station is functioning properly

The downloaded image has to be decompressed and copied onto an eMMC card. The path to the card can be found out after pushing it in the reader and seeing the dmesg listing.

After copying the image to eMMC card, boot the card and do the other settings directly in the OS running on ODROID.
Default login are as follows:
  * Username: odroid
  * Password: odroid

Odroid user is sudoer. Change the password as soon as possible using the passwd command.

===== Image configuration =====

Run the odroid-utility.sh (shortcut can be found on desktop), change the computer name and expand the system partition to a full size of the eMMC card. Reboot the station. 

==== Remote access to the station ====

Pro případ, že bude potřeba servisní zásah na stanici, je vhodné aktivovat i reverzní ssh tunel, který může sloužit pro vzdálenou správu stanice. 

To lze udělat spuštěním těchto příkazů: 

  wget http://space.astro.cz/bolidozor/support/scripts/setup_reverse_tunnel.sh
  chmod +x ./setup_reverse_tunnel.sh
  sudo ./setup_reverse_tunnel.sh

Skript nakonec vypíše nastavené parametry. Např. 

  Host radio-test.tunnel
    Port 4958
    HostName space.astro.cz
    User testak1

Ty je potřeba zkopírovat a odeslat na stejnou adresu, jako v případě [[cs:registration|registrace stanice]]. 


===== Spuštění detekce meteorů na stanici =====
V adresářové struktuře je v image stanice již připravena složka ~/Bolidozor/TEST  V této složce je testovací konfigurace, která zaznamenává data přímo na systémovou eMMC kartu. To ale není řešení vhodné pro trvalý provoz. Proto je lepší do odroidu přidat ještě mikroSD kartu, která bude sloužit výhradně k ukládání dat. 

Tuto SD kartu naformátujeme na souborový systém EXT4, aby jsme mohli využívat souborová práva. Následně jí vložíme do slotu pro mikroSD kartu na odroidu. Systém by jí po restartu měl sám namountovat. Následně vytvoříme symbolický link z adresáře ~Bolidozor/ a vytvoříme složky podle [[cs:convention|jmenné konvence]].

Adresáře do kterých se budou ukládat data o meteorech, na které se odkazuje konfigurační soubor, musí existovat. Pokud neexistují, vytvořte je.

Do nové složky na adrese //~/Bolidozor/jmeno_observatore/jmeno_stanice// nakopírujeme vzorové soubory z observatoře TEST. Skopírované skripty a konfigurační soubory je pak potřeba postupně projít a opravit cesty na nové jméno observatoře a jméno stanice. 

Detekci pak spustíme pomocí skriptu:

  ~/Bolidozor/start.sh  

Skript spustí audiosystém jackd.  Detekční program [[cs:radio-observer|radio-observer]], ladící utilitu frequency-guard.py a [[cs:data-uploader|uploadovací skripty]].

===== Monitorování detekovaných meteorů  =====

Když běží detekce meteorů je možné spustit i monitorování spektra a generování zvuku odrazu. K tomu stačí spustit skript: 
  /git/station-supervisor/visualisation.sh

Který spustí programy [[cs:pysdr|PySDR]] a [[cs:pysdr|Whistle]] a zapojí je do audiosystému jack. Dále pak spustí ještě program xgps, na kterém jsou vidět pomocné informace o signálu z GPS družic, které slouží pro synchronizaci času na stanicích.
